ADULTING 101
When I was younger, I used to be triggered with a lot of things. I become overwhelmed with everything happening around me and I tend to sweat so much of the small stuff. I used to have a lot of things to say to justify my point.But as I age, I've come to a point in my life where I would rather choose peace over anything. I would rather sit in a corner, quietly have a cup of tea, and watch things unfold. If you tell me 1+1 = 5, I'd be like, "Sure. If it makes you happy." Arguments take too much energy and it makes me realize that not everything needs a reaction. Sometimes, it's not worth making a statement or proving yourself right or getting your point across.Life has taught me that all you need is to stay low, stay quiet, keep it simple, and lead a life of gratitude. The older you get, the more quiet you become. Life humbles you deeply as you age. And then you'll realize how much nonsense you've wasted time on.#lifequotes

1.1.2024.New Year's Eve was an occasion for the entire family. We gathered at one place, spent the night playing parlor games, enjoyed good food and drinks, and just laughed the night away, bringing with us the lessons and blessings we've received from 2023.After a night well spent, I went up the rooftop to catch a glimpse of the sunrise, breathing in the fresh morning air from the mountain side, and just momentarily enjoying the view of the vast waters and nature in the backdrop. The sun was slowly rising. I was in awe, so I took out my phone trying to capture the breathtaking view.The next moment was something I was not expecting. He tapped me on my shoulder (I thought all the while he was gonna tell me to go down and sleep coz it was already 6 AM), but as I turned to look at him, to my surprise it was something else. He was standing there, with the proposal of a lifetime.I did not know what my reaction looked like, but I felt a lot of things at the pit of my stomach. I was shocked, happy, grateful, also a bit shaking, my hands were suddenly cold, all the emotions coming together, so I just cried it out for a bit while hugging him tight. I did not know how to react. I was caught off guard. I have never felt this kind of "high" in my entire existence.He was apologetic, because he never got the chance to get a bouquet of flowers, nor did he know how he was gonna propose. He just had that feeling that it was just for that exact hour. But to me... I didn't need anything else. It was just that perfect moment and timing, just the two of us at the rooftop, no grand gestures, no videos, nothing lavish and elaborate, just us watching the sunrise and enjoying the moment together, on the first surreal hours of 2024. It was the most romantic thing ever! This is the kind of exquisite moment no money can ever pay for. My heart is in ecstasy.YES to new beginnings and momentous chapters ahead. FOOD TALKS. I just realized something. Even if my

FOOD TALKS. I just realized something. Even if my work requires me to look at food in different perspectives 24/7, I still turn to food when I feel stressed or pressured. When I'm rushing with editing and all the food styling shenanigans, chances are, I'm munching at something already while doing the job or ordering something via food delivery apps, or cooking something out of whatever from the pantry. I just can't focus when I'm hungry. Or when I'm not hungry, my mouth gets bored. It needs to chew. 😅When I'm depressed, when I'm celebrating, when I'm happy, all the emotions that I'm feeling, I feel them with food. And when I say food, I mean good food. I literally majored in a food related course, including all the other courses I took plus my entire career involves food. I'm a Food Technologist, I'm a certified Pastry Chef, I'm a professional Food Stylist, so yes, my passion for it is just undying. I don't mind if I don't have all the material luxuries in the world, as long as I can spoil myself with literally anything I want to eat.I promised myself that if I would have the means, I will invest only in the best memories I could ever experience and that includes good food. I may not be able to buy the most expensive things, as long as I don't skimp on food and I get to taste the rich culture behind every dish wherever I go.What about you?
