Hello, February!Sometimes we get so caught up wi Hello, February!Sometimes we get so caught up with a lot of things going on with our lives that we forget to appreciate the small things around us. We are so busy always trying to make ends meet and making everything turn out in our favor.Let's take a moment to slow down and be grateful for the air we breathe, the colors we see, the grandeur of the sunset, the sound of the rain, the true beauty of nature, and all the little things. We always think we have so little, we always tend to focus on what's lacking and we ignore the abundance that's always constant.Just slow down and BREATHE. Being alive is already a great privilege. Always count your blessings and be a blessing to others. Who knows? You might be living a life that another person can only wish for.Always be thankful for what you have, and the rest of it will follow."Those who find gratitude in the little things find humility in the big things." -Lidia Longorio#February #travelogue #travelgram #nature #gratitude

Went on another gastronomic adventure with my cuzz Went on another gastronomic adventure with my cuzz, and we were momentarily taken to Mykonos, Greece.@thetaverna.ph is a Greek-Themed Restaurant, situated inside Mykonos Suites inside the compound of Luljetta's Gardens in Antipolo. It's less than an hour drive from my place, hailing from Rizal. But if you're driving from Manila, it would probably be an hour or 1.5 hour drive. We were served with complimentary pita bread with tzatziki for appetizer, thanks to our newly found friend, the business manager himself who we met and had a long chat with. We tried Shrimp and Pork Souvlaki, Feta Me Meli, and Baklava for dessert, which totally did not disappoint!!! We loved how the desserts just melted in our mouths with the sweetness of authentic Greek honey. The place itself gives a lovely bright vibe, as if you're being taken into snapshot travels to Santorini. 😍If you're looking for a place to hang-out with your family, friends, or a date with your significant other, I would highly recommend this place, not just for the ambiance, but for the service as well.Follow them on Instagram @thetaverna.ph. I travel 60% for food and 40% for the new experien I travel 60% for food and 40% for the new experience. Boracay did not disappoint when it comes to food adventures. Here are some of the food you shouldn't miss when you visit Boracay!Dampa Boracay - formerly "D'Talipapa", fresh seafoods cooked just the way you like it, that's what Dampa offers. Just like any Dampa in the Metro, you get to choose your live and fresh seafoods from the market and just bring them to the restaurants to have them cooked. It's cheaper over there than the usual Dampa we have in Manila as they are situated just by the sea.Ube Mousse Tart by @boracay.cafemaruja - Perfect for the sweet tooth! Its rich ube mousse is covered with Ube Ganache layered with a crunchy pastry base to balance the textures. Perfect with their Signature Coffee Blends.Halo Mango Family Ice by Halo Mango Boracay - Refreshing mangoes, bananas, watermelon, and fresh pineapple bits, served in a giant bowl (way bigger than our faces), on top of ice, milk, and mango sundae. It's a fun food experience if you're a big group!Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai by @bunbunboracay - I'm a fan of Asian food so I love everything in this cute little resto, but my ultimate favorite is their Siu Mai. I haven't had legit meaty Siu Mai in a while, so it's love at first bite for me.Pares by Sensi's Pares Hilton - This was our first meal in Boracay, and it didn't disappoint! A bowl of beef pares comes with unlimited garlic rice, so the price is super worth it! 😍There are a lot more food spots in the island that we have yet to try!I'll be including these food spots on my Boracay Vlog to be published soon! It's funny how we ended up Parasailing instead of It's funny how we ended up Parasailing instead of doing something less nerve-wracking and I was ecstatic that @sarra000 and @dah_ling decided to do this with me. I was originally planning to go solo because I didn't know if they were up for the adrenaline rush, but somehow I persuaded these two to come with me. 😂A few weeks before our flight, I was dreaming of buying a drone and flying it in Boracay to get good aerial shots of the island for my vlog. I was in the verge of ordering a decent one online. I've read the regulations on drones and upon my research, it's easy to pilot a drone less than 7kg around the Phils, however, there are two islands that prohibits drone flying: Batanes and Boracay.Unfortunately, both islands are within 10 km fly-zone radius, meaning, commercial airplanes fly back and forth in the area, so flying a drone would be a flight safety hazard. Hence, I put my online order on hold and still thinking if it's worth it to get one with all the licensing papers and such. I was dismayed, but it didn't stop me from seeing the beauty of Boracay from above. If I can't fly a drone, then I'll just fly myself, riding a parachute, suspended 500ft above the ocean with a GoPro. I could still get aerial shots from above, so no drone, no problem! We'll go parasailing! It was a decision we've made a few days before our trip. 😂No preps whatsoever. On our third day in the island, we just went for it, rode a speedboat, and entrusted our dear lives with the parasailing guides. It was worth it, unless you're afraid of heights! It's definitely not for the faint-hearted. It was an incredible experience having to see Boracay from up above.I'm excited to share our parasailing videos on my vlog! We were quite tensed at first, but it was just like riding a ferris wheel when you reach the top. The view was breathtaking. I highly recommend this activity when you visit Boracay. 😍#parasailing #Boracay #paradise #Philippines #instatravel #adrenalinejunkie #adventures #instagood #travelph #travel #islandlife #nodronenoproblem
Beyond grateful that I get to see Boracay in diffe Beyond grateful that I get to see Boracay in different colors everytime I visit. 😍I've been glued to Accuweather several days before our flight, and I was worried that it's gonna be rainy and cloudy althroughout this trip. It said there would be thunderstorms and gray skies, but my travel mantra always works. "Bring your own sunshine!" Nature gave us golden hours each day. The skies seemed to clear up everytime we go out. We're just glad the weather system did not fail us!It's always best to check the weather forecast when you're traveling so you can plot your activities for the duration of your stay. We didn't want to get caught in cloudy and rainy days, so we had to move some of our activities when it was sunny. December is wet season in the Philippines, so we get a generous amount of showers 70% of the time. Sometimes, we even get typhoons in some parts of the country during this month.Accuweather has been my bestfriend so far. It makes my travel life easy breezy! What about you?
