The quarantine has turned a lot of us into “quaran-chefs” and though trade has been down for the rest of the world, food business is still as booming as ever. Restaurants have limited capacity these days due to Physical Distancing, as a result most businesses have remodeled as take-out shops and expanded their delivery options.
Online Food Business has become a part of the new normal, but a great number of start-ups have little to no idea where to get their equipment and supplies. Budding entrepreneurs end up buying in the ever convenient malls, which are mostly double the price of what you can get directly from suppliers.
THE GREAT HUNT FOR KITCHEN STUFF
I am a business owner myself, and opening a shop during the pandemic is one great deal of a challenge. Sunday’s Cheesecakes was bound to open last March, but the lockdown has hindered us to do so. Although we are pressed for time and everything else, we had to re-strategize and move the opening date to July.
The conquest in finding our Kitchen Equipment and supplies started, and I personally had to broaden my suppliers to be able to find the best deals. From big equipment like ovens, refrigerators, freezers, up to the tiniest kitchen tools and decorations for the shop, we had to source everything out in a limited time.
I am still lucky, because living in the middle of the Metro allows me to access possible suppliers from both North and South. I have decided to share my kitchen finds on my Facebook Page, hoping to provide broader options to my fellow food entrepreneurs.
